"Jamie Hale's Knowledge and Nonsense is not just a great book, it's a great reference book, one that I keep literally within arms-reach on my shelf and refer back to often. With mass media and the internet today, it is very difficult to know when you're getting accurate, effective nutrition and training information, but Jamie's book is one that you can count on for solid, scientifically-based advice."

"I just recently (7/18/09) competed in the MS BB Championship show. I placed 1st in the middle wgt class and 3rd in the masters, narrowly missing the overall by 1 point. In June of this year , I had the pleasure of hearing and meeting Coach Hale. I was very impressed with Jamie's knowledge and ideas so I immediately acquired his services as my prep guy for my upcoming show. It was by far the best money that I have ever invested in myself. In all my years of competing, I have never come into a show as dry , lean and hard like this one. My hat is off to you Coach Hale. Thanks so much for your help and expertise. I'm looking forward to working with you for next year's competions."

"As a first time competitor I found myself lucky by discovering The XDL Diet. I've heard several horror stories about the dieting process before a competion. Myexperience was nothing like that with The XDL Diet. The science and structure of The XDL Diet had me feeling great and seeing extremely amazing results day to day; and hour by hour the day of my competition. I have been truly blessed with being introduced to The XDL Diet. It's easy and I am very happy with The XDL Diet. I use it and will use it with my everyday life and any future competitions I participate in."

" I went to Coach Jamie Hale 8 months ago preparing for my first bodybuilding contest. Coach Hale helped develop my body beyond my wildest imagination. With his help I was able to win 1st place in the middle weight division at the 2006 ONBF Columbus Classic and a top 5 finish at the Bluegrass Classic. By implementing the meal plan and diet Coach Hale prepared for me, I was able to watch my body transform each day. I was so amazed at the results I seen as each contest drew near. The XDL Diet is amazing! I've never met someone so dedicated, son knowledgeable, and so able to produce incredible results in the people he has worked with including myself. Coach Jamie Hale blew me away with his knowledge of losing fat, getting really lean and dry for bodybuilding competition. I am now leaner than I have ever been and stronger than I have ever been. I'll never go into a bodybuilding contest without Jamie's guidance. I recommend coach Hale to all athletes and anyone looking to improve their physique in any way. Thanks Coach Hale for all your help ".

"One of the famous users of this Agility Ladder is MaxCondition Training Programs people.
They are supposed to be the very best in this drill. Here are a few such drills in their own word (excerpt from MaxCondition by Jamie Hale)".

"One foot per square: Run through the ladder placing one foot in the middle of each square. Emphasize arm swing and powerful knee drive".

"Lateral in and outs: Begin by standing sideways to the ladder. Moving in a lateral fashion to your right, step in the first square with the right foot. Next, step in with the left. Now, back out with the right and back out with the left. Repeat sequence throughout the ladder".

I recently returned from Lake Placid, NY. I had to test for John Napier. We worked on pushing techniques from the 2 and 3 positions. In preparing for the time trials which will be in Calgary, Alberta, I had suffered a slight hamstring strain during my practice. Being in Lake Placid, I realize that I need to get serious with my training because I want to be a step of everyone else. I called Jamie and demand that he help me get where I need to be in shortest amount of time. Even though, I'm a trainer it doesnt hurt to ask for help in areas where you're not well knowledged. To enhance my knowledge, skills and strength I went to Jamie. He's preparing me for my next trip, which is in Calgary from 8/6 to 8/14. I have to perform 30m sprint, 60m sprint, 5 hop test, vertical jump, clean, and squat. See you guys in Torino.

Two years ago if you would have told me I would be a healthy individual and a competitive MMA fighter I would have blew smoke in your face and laughed as I bit into a Twinkie. When I first joined Total Body Fitness I had a didnt care about anything attitude. I met Jamie Hale and my attitude began to slowly change. I began to notice Jamie training a bunch of people at the gym. His training techniques were very interesting. I spoke to Jamie a few times and he set me up on a personalized eating and nutritional program. I was also introduced to Stonnie Dennis (Pro MMA fighter, MMA coach ) through Jamie. I can thank Stonnie for teaching me everything I know about MMA. Looking back on every thing; I went from a lazy unhealthy smoker to a well conditioned lean combat athlete. I no longer smoke and I maintain a healthy eating regimen.

I would like to thank you for the information and help you have given me with my battle with diabetes. I was diagnosed in 1998. I have been in two diabetes studies at the UK medical center, and seen by numerous doctors. Until I met you no one had explained what to do except not to eat sweets and carbs. The studies I participated in were to study the medicines affect on the disease and not much concern about the patient. The doctors seem to be more concerned about the medicines, not much about controlling the sugar level with the diets. They referred me to a dietitian and what she gave me was next to nothing. I want to thank you again. I now have my glucose level under control thanks to your advice.

While utilizing the XDL diet over the last few days, I have seen a radical shift in my bodyweight (nearly 16 lbs. in 4 days) and the release of toxins in my system have left me feeling great in my day to day activities including my training. Getting accustomed to the specifications of the diet had some difficulty, however the difference I can already tell is astounding and through tweaking this diet to my own needs, principles of XDL will be a part of my general nutritional regimen from now on. Coach Hale has done a remarkable job with this nutritional guideline and it would be, in my opinion, useful to all people interested in shedding bodyfat and improving appearance, whether it be Bodybuilders, Athletes, or individuals interested in overall fitness.

My physique development went beyond all of my expectations for the 2005 Bluegrass Muscle Classic. What was particularly interesting was the last week of preparation- XDL DIET. The drying out process was very precise and interesting to see the transformation daily. The last three days were amazing. On the day of the show my physique literally changed each hour. Bodybuilding is about 90 percent science and nutrition as I learned the last week of my preparation. I could not have been happier with my over all development and condition.

I began working with Coach Hale in February and over a 4 month period I have went from a size 14/16 to a 6/8 and I feel better than I ever have about my appearance. For the first time in my life, and I am 37 yrs old, I can put on a bikini and feel good about it. What I think is the greatest thing about Coach Hales approach to fitness is that he starts you with range of motion techniques, which is a major factor in you getting in shape. Gaining better range of motion gave me the ability to concentrate on my outward appearance thru exercise and eating the right foods. I am grateful for Coach Hales assistance in helping me find the truth about fitness and nutrition. YOU ARE THE BEST!!!!!!

"Recently I attended one of Jamie Hale's MaxCondition Training camps. His lectures were informative and he did a great job of presenting the material. I left the camp not with not only the knowledge of the specific exercises that I should be doing but also an understanding of why they are important and the improvements that I could expect. The gains that I have seen in my own speed and agility since the camp are proof that what I have learned is the real deal. Based on my results, I believe that the exercises and training techniques presented in the MaxCondition camp could definitely benefit all serious athletes. Thanks Coach."

"Jamie Hale is without a doubt the real deal when it comes to training, using his routines, diet strategies, and advice concerning types of training I have seen results that define his skill as a great fitness/strength trainer. within the 2 to 3 years I have trained with Jamie I have seen a 40 lb gain in weight and my strength has consistantly improved all of which has helped me to succeed in the field of football. Mr. Hale is a true trainer, he speaks from experiece in the fields of bodybuilding, boxing, martial arts, and powerlifting; while his network of contacts in the fitness field are numerous. If Mr. Hale can't give you an answer in regards to a question related to the field, he can find out, or at least point you in the right direction. He shows a high devotion to learning the knowledge necessary to make good athletes great and helping others achieve goals they never thought possible, including myself... Jamie Hale is a true strength trainer."

"I have known Jamie for the past couple of years and I find him to be both knowledgeable and serious about what he does. He has given me many tips on specific exercises to meet my training goals. I am a powerlifter and I have suffered for a couple of years with a chronic groin/hamstring injury. It was a nagging sort of pain, nothing debilitation but just a nuisance. Jamie told me to try a couple exercises and within 1-2 weeks I was perfect. I believe Jamie to be an expert in his field and lets face it, I wouldnt let most personal trainers train my dog. His information is based on solid research. If he doesnt know the answer, hell find it. He is in contact with leaders in the training community and takes much of his information from people like Ian King, Mel Siff, PHD, Fred Hatfield, PHD, Dave Tate only to name a few. He is constantly reading about nutrition, fitness, bodybuilding, powerlifting, and Olympic weightlifting. He is also good and thinking both inside and outside the box. Jamie can help you regardless of what types of goals you have; weight loss, hypertrophy, powerlifting, nutrition or combat training."

" In May 1999, I was rapidly approaching 40 years old and chose once again to get fit. Mentally, I wanted to be in the best physical shape possible for my body type. I knew to attain this ultimate goal, I needed someone in the fitness field to get me motivated and keep me interested- so I chose to seek out a personal trainer.

Well, to make a long story short, I recently relocated to Winchester, Kentucky and had heard through the grapevine that 'Total Body Fitness' gym had an owner and trainer who was quite knowledgeable in weight training, etc.
Upon meeting Jaime Hale [personal trainer], he began sharing his fitness knowledge with me and strongly reinforced the fact that nutrition as well as weight training and cardiovascular conditioning played a major role in striving to build a fit physique.

So- we began. I observed from the start that Jamie knew his stuff and quickly realized that I had my work cut out for me.
Over the past couple of years, I slacked in keeping myself in shape and had noticed cellulite accumulating. Gravity was taking its toll and some of my body parts were now starting to lose muscle tone.

Being that I hadn't worked out for some time, initially I was exhausted with each session- just struggling to get through- yet, afterwards, I felt great. Jamie never gave me more than I could handle, but he made sure I got a workout that was well worth my time, effort, and money.

Not too long after we got started, the results began to follow. Immediately, with Jamie's suggestions, I changed my diet and began to pay close attention to carbs as well as glycemic index and was now eating good. I was losing body fat fairly fast, gaining muscle and feeling good both physically and mentally. People began to notice the difference too!

Jamie designed a regimented workout that focused on perfecting form and preventing injury- all of which prove to be the ticket I needed to accomplish the gains I wanted.
Throughout these past 6 months, Jamie has also introduced some nutritional supplements into my program which have assisted me in reaching my fitness goals.

At this point, I am still striving to get there; working to perfect my form as I continue to lose body fat and gain muscular definition.

Looking back, I have come a long way in a short period of time and plan to continue regular weight training workouts forever."

"I hired Jamie Hale last year for 10 weeks of personal training. I had tried another trainer first, but was unhappy with their level of involvement ["OK, go over there and do some curls now"]. Jamie was involved and interested in MY training. Every day, when I would show up, he was prepared with a sheet showing what I would be doing that day. He set up the weights, encouraged me through the sets, and kept thorough records of my progress. Jamie's detailed record-keeping helped me to choose weights that were correct for me, and helped me appreciate the changes that were occurring in my body. Jamie really kept on me about what I was eating, how much I was sleeping, and what vitamins and supplements I was taking. The results exceeded my expectations. I was in fairly good shape when I came to Jamie, but on many exercises, including bench press and squats, my max lifts increased by over 30%. These gains were drug-free.

If you do not want to work, Jamie is the wrong trainer for you. He will encourage you, laugh with you, or yell at you to get you to do what you are capable of. The tough thing is, when Jamie says that 'you can do this weight' or 'you can do one more rep' he is usually right. Jamie helped me to work harder than I would have pushed myself and to make gains in both physique and self-confidence that will last me a lifetime."

"I started on my journey to lose weight in August of 1997. At that time, I weighed 390 pounds and was a size 52 in my waist. I was having a hard time breathing properly. I was a sitting time bomb for a heart attack. I then decided to lose weight. I started on a diet that consisted of eating low-fat foods during the day and having a regular dinner at night. That worked for a while. I was still lacking something, though. I was not exercising and I was missing out on a lot because of that. I dieted without exercise from August 1997 until January 1998.

In January 1998, I was looking to join Bluegrass Athletic Club, which is now Powerhouse Gym, Marty Muncie, my best friend's nephew, was a member of Total Body Fitness and recommended this club to me. I agreed to try it and see how I liked it. That was the best decision I have ever made concerning my health. I have been a member of Total Body Fitness from January to the present. The staff at Total Body Fitness is outstanding and very helpful. When I first started working out there, I really did not know even the basics of fitness and nutrition. He recommended that I start training on a personalized program. I agreed. Jamie designed a program which gave me my complete workout schedule. The program listed which exercises and how many sets I was supposed to do. It also told me exactly how much rest I was supposed to have. It listed the days I was supposed to do cardio and how much time I was to spend doing it.

The personalized programs combined with Jamie's expert advice concerning fitness has worked wonders for me. I lost a total of around 200 pounds and 18 inches in my waist. I have also gained a lot of self-confidence and pride because of what I have accomplished. I know the old saying, 'You have to do it for yourself', but I owe everything I have achieved to Jamie Hale. It was his encouragement, expert advice, help with exercises, and finally the kind of person he is, that helped me achieve the level of fitness I have achieved. Everyone tells me that sees me at the gym, school, and at work, that I don't look like the same person. All of this was made possible because of my drive for a healthier life and because of my personal trainer, Jaime Hale.

If you are looking for a personal trainer, I would recommend Jamie Hale. He is a known expert in his field. He knows his stuff. You will be getting the attention that you need because he will be right there with you making sure you do the exercise right. He will give you the encouragement you need, and the expert advice you are looking for. He will also give you 100% effort every time you train with him. If you hire Jamie Hale as your trainer, you will definitely achieve Total Body Fitness."

"I have been a member at Total Body Fitness for 2 1/2 years. The staff and facility have been a tremendous asset in developing my strength, endurance, and attitude during my daily life. In December of 1998, I started a personalized program designed by Jamie Hale. If I hadn't begun the program, I wouldn't be where I am today. With the help of Jamie training me, my physique has changed greatly. When I first started training [seriously], I approximately weighed 128 pounds. Now I weigh 117 pounds and have a much lower body fat percentage. I feel positive about myself and I can thank Jamie Hale for that!"

"The thing that is great about Coach Hale is that he is a thinking man's coach. He is not dogmatic and is open to new ideas and is well versed in a variety of training protocols. At the same time he knows exactly how to design effective program for athletes that are not unnecessarily complicated. it is one thing to have the knowledge and entirely another to convey that knowledge effectively in a user friendly format. Fortunately Coach Hale is grounded in both skills and has the results to back it up."
-Mike Mahler

"If I had to go to one person for reliable information regarding health or sports training I would go to Coach Hale. His knowledge is profound but more importantly it produced results. In addition. he is very approachable, well spoken and likable, a true Southern gentleman. Also, he puts on great demonstrations of tumbling and leaping."
